Oh , I thought there must be some unique feature like that with these onesThey are all left hand drive
Would be. Sept 76 168 Multi Power, IPTO , rigid cab Puh,and weight frame was £3,250 which was a pre increase price , a post increase basic 185 was the same price , we went for the 168.Our P reg 188 was about the last sold in Cornwall and as a result we had to have it as it was. Pavt wheels and an 8 speed box and a land drive pto, which we wanted. I think it was £3600.
Had it done up about 10 years ago and still have it kicking about.
How many for sale elsewhere at them low hrs though? These fegies dont normally make this money when for sale elsewhere , what's so special about them from this sale
It's a tad wet down here at the moment.Sale day 2 starts soon
Apologies I,m getting my dates mixed up it was 1975, KSJ 337P was the regHi SMID, that's a late 168. Sept 76 is R reg and the beginning of Q cabs, so the 500 series.
Out of interest I have the MF Pocket Price List for December 1978:
MF 550: £6300
MF565: £7000
MF 575: £7,500
MF 590: £8,000
MF 595: £10,500
MF 1200: £16,000
Multipower added £500 to each 500 series tractor.
I think it really made £39000, surprise of the sale tooMF188 made £39,000
This has to be a typo, what idiot would pay that for a 188, surely there has been a nought added in error there. If anyone knows the guy who bought it tell him I've a 185 kicking about my yard here, he can be the proud owner of it for a mere £35,000. There's a reason MF don't make them anymore, tractors got better. They were a good reliable tractor but I'd hate to be him when the childhood nostalgia has worn off after rattling down a bumpy road at a top speed of 15 mph and the rain is coming horizontal into the world's noisiest cab. For that kinda money you'd hope to have something which has at least a bit more comfort and practical use than an old ornament. As dad always says a fool and their money are easy parted. I'm not complaining though cos I've a 185, 65, and 204 digger which must make me a millionaire now
I dont understand it,the 200hr 690 only made £12800,and it was a minter. The 188 was completely original, not rusty or knocked about, but that is mental money. These fegies dont normally make this money when for sale elsewhere , what's so special about them from this sale
