auctioneers to merge in Mid Wales

there has been rumours for some time but now it is confirmed that 2 long established auctioneers and estate agents are to join forces.... Morris Marshall and Poole and Norman R Lloyd.. I cannot decide if it is good or bad news for the local farming community

Probably mean one of the shops closing in Welshpool and other towns where they each have a shop.

It was said via the grapevine their would not be any job losses but i cant see them keeping 2 offices open in towns where they are both present long term, just doesn't make sense financially. I can't see it being bad for the local farming community, their are other's that cover the area, some customers may move from them due to not liking one or the other though.
