Yaltox went for us years ago ended growing turnips for me , I don’t think stopping chemicals is a bad thing , I don’t want to eat things that have been laced in all kinds .

Not sure the Irish would have agreed with you if they could have
used potato blight sprays nearly 2 hundred years ago .
The point is they used information gathered in Canada to ban it here
then continued to import the stuff from Canada where they still use it.

Then you should get a premium for your product ,

I could not care a jot about subsides. The way they were used and implemented was extremely foolhardy.

It is an often repeated myth on TFF that farmers in the USA/North America or New Zealand etc are all able to farm in a totally unregulated way. It's totally false and what is more, it is actually a marketing advantage that such regulations exist. One of the local milk processors in this region are able to ship premium quality milk powder to Asia for this exact reason, no wonder then that they are working on tightening up standards for all their milk suppliers.
Dream on
Nz and oz lamb vast numbers of sheep without feed or attendance.
Hence they do it cheaper and the bad lambers simply die out.
How long do you think that approach would work here?

Yeah lets allow us to grow what we want and spray it with what we want and inject our cattle with what we want and transport them how and with what we want then if some die just throw them on the street!! Bloody rules are killing me

Wife's cousin (NZ) used to shoot ewes having difficulty lambing, then when times got tougher he carried a sharp knife to save the cost of a bullet - Nowadays his son just lets them die.

That approach doesn't really square with "Kate Humble and Springtime Lambing Live" does it ?

What UK auto industry? Its all being leaving this septic isle post 2016...
The F1 boys are sinking some dough and jobs into there facilities, maybe the market changes and uk does speciality engineering etc.

Ant...
But hardly a mainstream employer... in numbers or skills.

Maybe numbers but skills its all ranges from fitter turner to advanced computer science / engineering.

The
Mercedes
Redbull , under going expansion
Mclaren
Ashton martin
Williams

All uk based

I believe there are alot of porsche series jobs based in uk.

Every little bit helps.

If the deal goes through, we in oz know all to well the challenges with free trade deals as weve lost alot of industry to it, but managed to stay viable. Our unemployment numbers id never believe, like most countries.

We are in a skills shortage again like the mining boom.

Its hard to engage all the public in buy local, especially if they under financial pressure, its the same here, follow some financial trading forums and you will see how much people dont give a rats about farmers, just rich whingers.
