Australia rejects free movement plan with UK

Err security concerns to begin with.

More to the point, exactly how many people should be trying to live in the UK? Would you agree that the infrastructure and public services are about at capacity?
So without wishing to sound like a Month Python film involving Romans,
So security what about it, bad lads get caught
Capacity of UK, plenty of room when compared to say Singapore or Hong Kong.
And without wishing to become boring, why should we stop free movement?
Other than a perceived security, and sustainability issues. Surely this could go both ways.

I do agree that your infrastructure and public services are at or even above capacity, maybe you need some immigrants to assist in your public services.

I dont know where you live but in Sunny wilts it is very full, trafic jams are awful now, people everywhere, perhaps you should go and live in some of these overcrowded places and see how you think then, we had to pop over to Ireland last wknd to see a very sick friend and it is so very noticable how much quieter it is than here.

Too Many people destroy the quality of life, it makes no difference whether they are native or immigrants there is just far too many of us

Mainly to English speaking countries according to the UN migrant tracking service,
They do move to English speaking countries along with many others, it may come as some surprise to you but there are many other countries that speak English, you may not be aware of that fact which could explain your earlier comment " I doubt too many indians want to go anywhere apart from the UK "
remind me again of the freedom of movement rules NZ has ? Can anyone just rock up and stay ? no didnt think so
You have answered your own question before waiting for a reply and your own answer is incorrect. NZ does have freedom of movement rules with Australia, so Austrailians can just rock up and stay.

Try looking up the UN report it will show you country by country where they go, the comment about Indians moving was in reference to the EU trade deal, having travelled a fair bit in the EU in recent years I cant say I have seen many in non english speaking countries, yet we had to go to Ireland last wknd and there were several working in the airport, it is pretty normal for people to move to a country that speaks the same language as you do, hence why Aus, NZ and the states/Canad are very popular with brits.

So Aussies can move freely to NZ hardly the same as having freedom of movement with 250 million eu citizens or a billion from India is it, the UK has had for many many years and still will have freedom of movement with Ireland ( which is a great shame as we could then send the thieving barsteward pikies home if we stopped free movement with Eire after brexit)

Perhaps it is best for the UK if policy on this subject between the UK and far away friendly places like Auz and NZ stayed as it is,
Judging by this thread alone the UK is on a winner as regards to who has gone there and who has come here.
best not rock the boat (y)

And, viewing this from another angle, when the monbidiot has culled all livestock, what is he going to cull next? Not much choice me thinks!

I suspect once the mega fires have stopped (no sign yet, there getting bigger with 1.5 million acres currently ablaze:oops:!) some Australians and expats might be quite keen to move to the UK.
As for moving to Australia you would have to be mad now, the environment there is being literally destroyed.
