Does such a machine exist that I can dump 25kg of carrots/potatoes/sprouts into and it weighs it out into a small hopper in a weight of somewhere between 500g and kg while someone bags it up?

Yes , but not sure on if it would be small enough for your scale but there may be smaller scales -
But newtec and illapac both bake vertical weigh heads for root veg , I’ll have google tomorrow and get you some more leads . There will be some s/h stuff if you look in the right places !

You would be buying from China most likely with zero backup if they breakdown but at half price or less than a UK source I have taken the gamble more than once.
