I am an expert in automation. I have knowledge in all aspects of it, robotics, programming, electronics, mechanics, etc. That combined with the current state of open source (free) technology, means that I could easily create a system that would plant several different kinds of seeds, each in exact specified locations, and then kill every plant that is not in those locations. It would also automatically water, and might even do harvesting of certain types of vegetables. This would be ideal for growing high income mixed vegetables in reduced space, and the cost is really not bad at all.
This type of system would help in utilizing the land more efficiently. In the time that one plant is small and needing very little space, other plants can grow to full size and be harvested in the unused areas around those plants. This will also benefit the later plants, in that the soil is kept more alive and vital so that when the roots from the later plants get there, the soil is ready for them. In addition, it means less sunlight hitting the soil, reducing evaporation. Hopefully, you can see how this could benefit you.
Now a little about me. Obviously, I wouldn't be writing this, if I had the money to buy my own land and setup my own system. I'm barely getting by. The problem is, 17 years ago, I came up with a plan that will end poverty and bring about World Peace, and I realized that this would save mankind. So I spend all my free time and any money I can spare on this project. Unfortunately, I also have to work a regular job to support my family, and during that time, in my profession, I make the same income now as I made 30 years ago, and now it is not really enough to live on. It will continue to decrease. So obviously, I need a way out of that.
Donations are not an option. It is much more efficient for me to work at producing income, and use that income to do my project. I have the skills, in the right situation, I could produce huge amounts of income. In fact, if I had the time and resources, I could literally feed the entire world by myself. That is the thing about automation, it allows one person to do enormous amounts of work.
So I'm looking for someone who has a fair amount of resources, or a small group of farmers, that would be able to make use of my abilities. Doesn't need to be huge, but something. Also, my objective is to create a permanent source of income, so that I no longer need to work a full time job, so I will have time and some money to end poverty and bring about World Peace. I would like to setup a system, and later do only occasional maintenance and improvements, so that I'll have plenty of time for trips to Africa and other poor countries, to work on ending poverty projects.
I also need some financial security, for the changing times ahead. So I would like to get a small amount of land for this work. This would also help to ensure you that I'd be coming back to maintain it and make improvements.
I haven't done the math yet, but I believe to be realistically practical, I think as low as $200,000 could easily get something setup. Possibly as low as $100,000. For a small group of farmers, maybe $50 000 each.
