in my veg days, I had loads of adas booklets for nearly every veg. Including courgettes, inside and out. It included fert recs.
And growing a half ton pumpkin using the equivalent 250t/ha of muck along with a magic chemical potion.

Don't replace your heavy clay with sand, otherwise you'll have P index 5's, then another headache.

I think it is important, indeed I would urge everyone to tell the EA that they are using this RPS otherwise next spring they will shrug their shoulders and say it isn't affecting many farms so we can press on and ban outright autumn spreading beyond crop need. I sent my email this morning, if everyone informs them that they are using the RPS perhaps they will see sense?

Applying for an RPS will give them a heads up that you do the dastardly deed?!
If you inform them you are spreading under the RPS just make sure your application is planned, it doesn't exceed the 5Kg/Ha leaching limit and your P indices aren't too high to justify the application, also the application isn't going to cause any other type of pollution due to soil type, slope etc.

Yup, but perhaps safety in numbers. I have heard today from well informed source EA may yet back down this autumn so may not be the right thing to do. I still think fill their inbox to overflowing will send a message.
