The piffling amount of soluble carbohydrates in a heap of plant tissue is basically inconsequential compared to the monster amount of big structural carbohydrates which is what ruminants actually digest and run on.
Digestibility is far more important.

Just moved them and they're happy cows, fairly pleased with the remnants from yesterday too, the only patches being were they've sh!t!
