What on earth are you doing to make them wear out so fast? Do you walk millions of miles? I find Dunlop / Bekinas last well over a year for me, probably two though I don't wear them that much over the summer. I usually chuck them away when they start to smell really bad rather than worn out or leaking.

My old Dunlop puroforts did 18 months
Skellerup replaced them but leaked after a
Month just walking on a dew covered meadow (I should have sent them back)
Bogs have worn until the sole worn out with no issues
Now on 2nd pair of bogs wellies

How do you take them off? If you use the other foot to push and pull it off, that will kill all types of boots. If you think about it , it stretches the rubber in areas not designed fk stretch.

I got some dickies pro masters at the Doe show this year so obviously not had that long but they seem like a good boot without busting the bank. Better than the land masters I’ve had over the last many years.

Dunlop purofort have got so thin they're like slippers. You can feel every stone or crack in the yard. Horrible.

Steplites are nice wellies. But I have a problem with them perishing around the ankle and bridge of the foot where my leggings rest. 6-9 months. But loads of tread left on them. Shame. I wear wellies year round as I farm in a shithole.

Pardon me.

Buy the cheapest pair in Mole Valley. Don't last that long 8 months maybe before they have a split but I find them comfortable.
Bought some Trepass boots once, absolute rubbish, uncomfortable and no grip - foot slipping off clutch - no grip

Same with Bekina Steplights - they last a long time unless I leave the leggings on them, then the slurry perishes the rubber. Don;t know how you can walk in those cheap Dunlops.

I tried some bekinas in the autumn but they made my feet sore, I persisted with them for nearly a fortnight before buying some more dunlops. The bekinas had made my feet so sore it took about a week before I could walk properly again.
Dunlops used to be good but ain't a patch on what they used to be. At one time I used to buy cheap wellies not too bad comfort wise but they just didn't last, when I first splashed out on a set of dunlops about 15 years ago they lasted nearly a year so worked out much better value than the cheapies. Trouble is, with decent wellies costing 70 quid plus it's expensive trying different ones only to find you don't like them.

Just buy them on a trial run of say two days, no problems.

If they don’t perform well in tight corners or on a sudden sprint start in pursuit of a limo bullock then just take them back (preferably washed) and ask if you can road test some all season Argylls or Administrator radials.

If they refuse then just post it on this forum and we will sort it out.

Price doesn't matter, it's the quality of the rubber that seems to decide whether wellies crack/split or not. I always buy cheap Dunlops with steel toe caps and they have done me well but the last lot failed much earlier. £15 is the maximum I will pay for wellies but I am now carefully keeping the receipts (so not designated to the egg box with the rest) and will be taking them back if they fail early. When wellies start to leak, they get put aside for summer use.

Are you expecting a dry summer then?

One of the best presents ever had. Ideal for those of us who have a bad back.

BTW I find Seals last as long as any wellie and usually wear out the sole before any tears or holes appear. Not cheap but very comfortable for a days work

My Bekinas weren't lasting long, but I was leaving my leggings on them too (so getting the same perishing around ankle etc), but now I make sure I bring them in (with leggings still on) and put them by the fire or radiator to dry fully overnight and they are lasting much better because of that. (got a tidy plastic boot tray for indoors so I don't get told off by the OH :))
