Has anyone had any dealings with Avison Sprayers?
There's a sprayer on website that looks alright and is sort of right money I want to pay, And just wondered if it will be worth a trip out to see it.

I won't be buying anything without seeing it first, I was wondering what they are like to deal with.

Whether Mr Avison is honest or not surely you wouldn’t buy anything for more than a tenner sight unseen. I’ve been a couple of times to look at sprayers and haven’t bought anything not because of Mr Avison but because the sprayer didn’t suit. Dealers are like sharks the friendly smiley ones are best avoided.

I’ve bought from Gary, my chafer mirage came from there and was a faultless machine.

Everyone will have different experiences I’m sure, but I would buy from him again.

Charming as said to deal with and totally honest will never tell you a lie but knows his stuff and do not think you will get one over him he is nobodies fool because the moment you think you have you are in trouble. But look over it thoroughly and ask loads of questions as he will offer nothing its upto you to buy it from him if you want it rather than him push it onto you. because at the end of the day it is a s/h machine which he probably has bought unseen and has to make a living from by moving on.

Gary underwrites a lot of uk dealer machines. He does this unseen as mentioned (other than email photos ) . I’ve sold and bought from Gary and never had a problem with him. I like his honestly. Don’t rock up expecting a new sprayer as all second hand ones have history. I’d happily buy from Gary with only email photos

if a sprayer is sold with a 12 month ticket should it work?

It should work and it should be reliably. I guess it had been stood some time before I bought it!

All secondhand machinery has problems.

Buying secondhand from Househam was better BUT still had problems which we have to sort out.

I bought one from him, went to see it, done the deal and paid a deposit. They found a problem when sorting a few things we agreed on before delivery. Gary put everything right that was needed at no extra cost. As far as I’m concerned he’s straight and I will go to him when I need a replacement.

Done a couple of deals with Gary and got some good advice when I built up my sprayer, can’t fault him tbh

I had a stretched MB trac sprayer built by Gary and used in his spray contracting business.

Was a great machine.
