Axial or Topik control AMG

What's the crop? Your herbicide names suggest wheat.

Atlantis won't do much this late and you'll hit the crop hard. IMO the time has passed for AMG control. Is it in ear yet? Once it's in stem extension you will struggle. Have you tested the soil pH in the bad patches of AMG?

Yes Wheat, got to spray for Wild Oats anyhow, its just whether to risk the crop damage of Atlantis, if Topil or Axial offered some even partial control I'd favour them.

I've never tried Axial or Topik for AMG control. Like you, I only use them for wild oats.

Rough meadow grass is on the Topik label but only to 3 tillers. No mention of meadow grass at all on the Axial Pro label.

We sprayed some hatra last week and it’s doing a cracking job on bg but we are further north so later in the season, have another bit to do tomorrow as it’s been too cold the last week

Othello is essentially a weaker version of Atlantis & it is very good on AMG, but does need to be on early when the grass is smaller.

Othello also contains DFF and certainly wants to be done early whilst crops are winter hardened and not really awake. I would be wary of applying it to a big angry crop now with big weeds in it.

I'm not convinced axial or topik will do too much to a grown up AMG plant now. I've tried and had unimpressive results. This warm/cold weather won't help anything ALS either.

Does Pacifica not work a bit later than atlantis or something?

Yes. You get the added benefit of not needing any other PGRs on the crop & you'll save on some grain store space too. Just don't apply it to a hot stressed crop.

Pacifica is label approved to GS39 but that's far too late for any grass weed control.

I don't think its that bad, I've had bad crop damage from spraying in March just as the crops getting going, but once its well into spring it knocks it, but not as bad.
