Back from the dead?

A few days old calf seemed to be lying unconcious. I rubbed it vigorously and eventually it came round but I really thought it was a goner. Heart problem? Don't know about the calf but I nearly had one! Any ideas?

Could just be a food coma or deep sleep, they tend to be a bit dozy at that age and take a while to get moving. If you are worried feel it's belly to make sure its warm, take a temperature, check that it's feeding and that once it's up and moving check it's body language to see if it looks comfortable. Also check to see that it's passing urine and dung.
