As above, want/need a backing gate, have one here that came with the parlour, but it isn't gonna happen. What's the best design, and who do I need to speak to. Doesn't need to be overly complicated.

Rope scraper with backing gate installed on it, this one was fitted in Carmarthen.
Round yard with a top gate with electric wires is the way to go. That way you can move small number of cows at a time.please don't confuse a backing gate with a bulldozer.just a suggestion go without to start with, there a very much a marmite contraption. we feed in parlour very rarely struggle to get cows in.
but saying that if starting afresh would probably go with a circular collecting yard with backing in middle
Bugger, if anyone else is looking for one please let me know. We should be taking one down, it's approx 100' long, single overhead track with the suspended bar with chains approx 7m wide.I've sorted one now thanks @S J H
