'Goods are pretty easy to check remotely" Says the man with not a clue. Makes you wonder why they have borders anywhere. Or checkouts at supermarkets. Technology is really easy to promise (Fat Controller Bad teeth Johnson promises that a lot) but harder to deliver. IF it were so easy it would all be done and dusted by now. The total lack of any solid presentation of this mythical 'technology' speaks volumes
Do you know what percentage of goods are checked when they enter the UK now, look it up and then say it cant be done, tariffs on most goods are very small and arent worth trying to avoid, food and agri products are one of the exceptions but as we all know they are very traceable so the importer can be checked to see what they are importing, open your eyes, you just want breit to fail, at least be honest about that rather than make up problems that can be solved without much difficulty

what was the fairy tale?
there has to be an unlimited back stop to prevent a hard border in ireland,
simple checks at goods points of destination etc couldnt possibly suffice.
now we learn that in the odds on looming no deal,
limited checks at goods points of destination etc will be acceptable!
and we are supposed to take the euroclowns seriously?

try coming through the channel tunnel now without showing a passport and stopping for random checks, is that done in Ireland now ? Dont bother giving me the answer because we know it isnt, so there will be no change to either place

Now we appear to have a PM that has some balls to stand up to the eu they have suddenly realised that they have backed themselves into a corner over the border, we just have to hope that the desperate pro eu remainers in the UK cant find a way to stop boris

so "taking back control of are borders" means all but the only land border that we have that we going to leave open for anyone/thing to cross freely. can't wait to see the ragtop's/dailyfail headline when there a terrorist attack to find that it was carried out by a french Muslim who legally crossed into Ireland, stepped freely into UK with not one person asking him a question, and goes on to do a Manchester style attack
