Backup GPS section control

We are contract spreading lot of grassland fert now for customers where we are tying up our Trimble GFX-750 on tractor with 710 tyres. Looking for a backup system to run Amazone sprayer with Amatron 4 on tillage ground. Only need a GPS signal for position and not steering, tramlines already exist and are all put in with autosteer. Will an EZ Guide 250 with Ag 15 on Egnos work? Anybody running similar?

Amatron will accept standard NMEA messages as listed on the manual. Trimble experts could comment on the EZ Guide 250, if and how it can provide NMEA data.

If the Amatron 4 is doing the section control and you don't need steering then a standalone GPS device without a screen can send nmea messages. If you've got a 250 already outputting an nmea signal is easy enough you just need the right cable which are easily put together.

Thats great info thanks. We have the 250, it only has the patch antenna but will look for the Ag 15 and cable from dealer.
