Many parlour/tank wash/teat dip products, often bought through buying groups or similar are the same thing just sold under different brands but all made by Kilco. Certainly if you are buying their products, a Kilco rep will quite happily come out and assess your plant and tank, take swabs etc to help track down the source of any problems (not sure about non-customers).

A poorly set up parlour and poor routine does a lot for bactoscans I had a plant last year who hadn’t serviced his ADF for 18months and couldn’t understand why he had high bacteria chemical guy was going round testing everything. Saying the chemical was ok it’s in the tank but it wasn’t ADFIs great tool but needs regular service

Maybe I missed it, but nobody seems to have mentioned what bacteria ii in the milk. Some forms of Listeria will grow at low temperatures. The wet conditions will also increase the prevalence of coliforms. Not just mastitis causing species live in the udder. Check what bacteria are actually in the sample. What species they are will give you a good pointer as to where the problem is originating.

Make sure all the iodine is. Dispensing correctly and although the liners need changing make sure shells are good as well I don’t know where your based

I've rarely ever had a bacto over 30 before September 19 and I've hardly had a single one under 60 since then despite no changes in routine or chemicals.

Its a shame the benchmark tool has disappeared from the Arla website otherwise it would be an easy way to see if it really was an industry wide problem.
So about the time nml had their f**k up?

About the same with me. Our parlour guys are saying a lot of farmers are having the same issue with no explanation, sounds like the lab to me

That is exactly the same time we started having trouble, somehow I don’t think it’s a coincidence
