Seems Muller have given their Aberdeenshire producers 12 months notice
and
First Milk email says local producers have been unable to devise a financially viable scheme to allow them to take on the Cambelltown Creamery

Yes the first milk situation whilst sad it's much less terminal than for muller members north of Aberdeen.
I'd say it's worrying times for any dairy producer that's not located near a decent milk field

The UK is badly needing to spend money on processing capacity, particularly in Scotland. Falling liquid milk sales wont be helping the matter either.

How could Muller not realise they had too much milk, they pick the stuff up everyday!
Sometimes think dairy companies forward planning people think next weekend is a long way in front.
You would think they would get wind of the fact many of their suppliers were spending big bucks on faciliies & ponder what the effect would be. on volumes
Like a lot of big companies there will be too many timeservers & beancounters & not enough visionaries & innovaters

Anyone spoke to yew tree to see how much it will cost for them to pick the milk up?
On the map it’s not that wild to skelmersdale,
When travelling north journey times are nothing compared with going south into England with the extra traffic.

Potter was suggesting minimum of 1.75ppl levy on farmers for transport but also pointed out that this doesn’t play well with food miles (but at least had the grace to say that imported euro milk has greater miles)
