Well got my intolerence blood test back today and tested positive for
corn (maize)
Yeast
White grape
And the big one COWS MILK
what am i gona do now! :(:scratchhead:

I've had that test, here's my list.

Dairy
Potato
Grape
Beef
Yeast
Peanut
Maize
Wheat
Gluten
Buckwheat
Agarve
Aubergine

Unfortunately the list is correct, I feel loads better if I stay off them. Have you seen a good functional nutritionist? If you sort the underlying issues and then stay away from your intolerances for three months, it is possible to reintroduce some or even all of the things on the list.

Not got to three months yet, but so far so good.

Ha don't worry! We don't know any different!
I'd so struggle to go dairy free! All the cakes  and chocolate :sneaky:
Yea thats my issue what can i eat when working away and im not in contol of ingredients, like something simple as grabing a sarnie or going to a weding meal or goin out for a meal
Al just have salad and dust please thankyou haha

 We find it easier to phone/email ahead before going out for food etc to make sure there is something and some places are really helpful where as others really don't give a damn! And also once friends and family know etc we found most are quite thoughtful when it comes to party's etc or if in doubt we just pack his food!
Salad and dust to fall back on though

Good luck, I hope it goes well for you. My experience is that removing your intolerances works really well, but unfortunately can make you even more sensitive to the things you have removed fro your diet. My better half has similar issues and she has found exactly the same.

Eating food I am intolerant to gives me stomach ache, IBS and sends me to sleep for the day. My partner had severe reflux, to the point that opremazole wasn't very effective any more and she was guzzling gaviscon too, the NHS had nothing more to offer her. The nutritionist has put her on oregano oil to control a bacterial overgrowth in her small intestine and she avoids her intolerances, she is now off opremazole completely.

I was diagnosed years ago with IBS, then about a year and a half ago I turned really ill, having to go to the loo constantly, tummy in agony. If you are passing blood it is not IBS and if you are having to go to the loo during the night it is not IBS. It look a lot of pressure from my GP on the consultants at the hospital to finally get a true diagnosis of Crohns Disease. I lost over 2 stone in weight and was convinced I had bowel cancer, so the Crohns was a relief in a way.

Opremazole can be a wonderful drug at settling symptoms but can produce side effects of its own.
I use it only when I really have to, as taking it regularly makes me very tired.

I think you are wise to not take omeprazole very often. My partner went to see a NHS specialist about her reflux and had a gastroscopy, it revealed that her stomach was full of small polyps, he said not to worry as this is a normal side effect with long term omeprazole use!

Unfortunately all proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole reduce stomach acid production, which then lets live bacteria through to the small intestine that shouldn't be there. Apparently 50% of PPI users suffer from small intestine bacterial overgrowth, which is a major cause of reflux, so long term they can actually make matters worse. Typical NHS and big pharma, keep popping the pills to treat the symptoms and ignore what the underlying issues are.

My bet is a good functional nutritionist could cure your problems, the downside is you have to be able and prepared to change your diet and it takes real effort.

I would suggest you see a good BANT qualified nutritionist this winter, I can recommend a good one in Whitchurch, but that could be a little far to travel for you.

My whole family are on omeprazole. I'm not, I just left things out and soon found what gave me hideous acid and no longer eat/drink them.

Thankyou going to look into that. Whitchurch is only a 1hr away and if it works it will pay for itself.

Sounds good, but sometimes intolerances can be hard to work out and that's when intolerance tests can be worthwhile. Also sometimes there can be further problems that need addressing and that is where professional advice can come in.
