Got 30+ ton of specialist grain we sell in 1t bags for small mills. Got offer of bucket like above to speed up bagging from heap on floor. Would it work for grain? Aiming for exactly 1t with bag sat on scales and controlled flow etc.
Any experience of these would be appreciated

Just found it holds 1.6m of product so should be great for 1t wheat.

What are the ton bags you are going to fill like?

That bagging bucket looks like it might have a large opening in the bottom. Great for the ton bags that get filled with sand and gravel, they have a large opening in them. Do the bags you are filling have a much smaller opening in the middle of the top though, like the bags seed comes in?

It might be possible to add a funnel on the underside of a bucket like that to suit different bag inlets, but then you might be as well having a hopper with a small slide you can get the bags under and fill it with a regular bucket.

I'm guessing the places filling builders bags with one of those have a weigher on the loader, so they get the right amount in the bucket first, tipping off excess and then dump it all into the bag?

We helped STRIMECH design theirs specially for filling big bags, has hooks to suspend bags, hydraulic slide so you can control flow, ideal for filling drill etc as well

We used to use several hoppers like these for filling potato bags. You could get something similar made for grain with a hatch rather than bomb doors.

As above, Strimech make a bagging bucket designed for the job, which would no doubt be better than the Cherry bucket in the OP.

My experiences of their customer service would make me think twice before buying from them again though.
