I don't know much about it but but speaking to seed rep this morning he tells me it's hard to kill (hard seeding) with seed germinating over several years a disadvantage in a cover crop. Above average risk of disease & a greater risk to nematode/insects, does tolerate heavy wet soils though.

The hard seeding is one hell of an advantage in a grass field though, although perhaps not for those selling the seed. If it comes up in cereals after a cover crop, I would have thought any blw spray would take it out easily enough.

All very true apparently though it can germinate 3-4 years down the line after you think you have killed it off with a spray.

Took this on a trip to a seed producer in NSW, so it's a stand of pure Balansa Clover. Not the best photo for this but you get the idea.
