Balansa clover sowed 20th of sept

The old wise farmers over here say it has small leaves, that tend to grow down closer to the ground, so when grazed by the sheep it still leaves some leaf to intercept light and get good recovery...the larger leaf white clovers tend to have some stem then leaf, once the sheep nip the leaf of there is only the stem to intercept light for recovery...etc....

Ive sold 10 tonne of it down my way in 24 hours just in my local area, as seed qaulity high and price very low this year...id say i will move 20 tonne easily before winter here...$2.30 kg AUS...about £1.40 a kg...

I take on board that it is smaller leaved than white clover and lower to the ground but it really doesn't look a lot different, sort of a cross between white and wild white clover. where is it from aus?

This is probably a stupid question, but what would it be like undersown in a cereal crop, thinking of weed suppression and aid to fertility ? :scratchhead:
I'll have a look properly
In spring I would fear the weeds would grow faster and in autumn the clover might smother the crop

Other than that I'd say you'd be grand(y)

A Yellow Trefoil/White clover blend would be what your after. Yellow Trefoil establishes rapidly to suppress weeds and when it runs out of puff later in the year this is where the clover takes over.

Ive just seeded 16 ha at 13kg/ha....for seed crop....it really only needs 5/6kg...but you have to be generous and sow the higher rate to allow for tax...

Bugs and slugs
Pre em
To deep
To shallow
Birds
Sheep stuffing some when grazed
Disease when you cant get on to spray

This gets u back to the desired rate...
