Hi does anyone use a bale spike unroller? IM thinking of getting one on the forklift for feeding silage in our feed passages, to cut down on the hand work and was wondering if anyone uses them and are they any good for silage or do they just work with straw? Thanks

I have one and it works fine with most bales just struggles with short wet stuff as the bale falls to bits rather than unroll, main problem i have had is different tractors seem to run the motor faster than others so am looki g to put a restrictor in so i can slow the speed down

We drop bales in the passage just now and graip the silage off to the cattle was hoping we could reverse with a bale on the front and unroll as it goes backward help tease it out a bit. Have you ever used it to bed cattle with straw?

Thats exactly what i do and it works a treat, not used it with straw as get quads but looking to get rounds next year. Its also handy when cattle out i just unroll bales of haylage across the field rather than using ring feeders, less mess and bulling

We use a Balemaster made by SGM . As everyone else seems to think, great on long stuff where the bales hold together does a brilliant job.
