are they as good as the other ones eg hustler , quadx, also if you put half hession straw on one ,would it put it out on arow to shake out manuallyWhat do you want to know?
Have a wessex. Our has the blade throwing thing as well.has anyone any experience of the wessex bale unroller for feeding silage along afeed barrier
They are bulky things. I bolted the headstock as far left as possible to try and centralise it a bitCouldn't compare it to others I'm afraid as I've only ever used a Wessex. Had it 3 years and had no real issues yet. Couple of weak points. Ours is offset to get it over the troughs, the front corner is quite easily caught and had broken a corner off the bearing carrier. Could do with being a bit beefier. Also we've have gas axed the plates off behind the tines as you couldn't get a socket on to tighten them.
As to the straw yes I think it would put a row of wads out.
thanks for the reply chance wessex new but 2 years old if you know what amean , about £4250Couldn't compare it to others I'm afraid as I've only ever used a Wessex. Similar to what I paid. One has to question why they look so new. Ours certainly won't wear out v quick!thanks for the reply chance wessex new but 2 years old if you know what amean , about £4250

oh dear was that the straw blower bit or the complete machineI had a Wessex unroller with the straw attachment as well. The worst machine I have ever used or bought, traded it in for a hustler chainless in less than a year and countless repairs.
People buy them, realise how bad it is, use a pitch fork instead and eventually send it onhow

We've had one for about 12mths, horrible machine.I had a Wessex unroller with the straw attachment as well. The worst machine I have ever used or bought, traded it in for a hustler chainless in less than a year and countless repairs.
I've got a Wessex unroller, it's pretty good, use it for silage and straw all winter for the last five years. I've given it some grief, carrying 2 bales at a time back from the stack on the tines, driving down bumpy tracks with a 700kg bale bouncing in the machine etc. It's always worked fine and on a pivot steer handler is great over awkward feed barriers. I have had to beef up the headstock here and there, it's quite lightly built... Well, either that or we've been too hard on it but it's still working fine.
It was all rubbish, the backup from Wessex was equally as poor.how
