Standing crop seems to be about 10/bale so add your costs to that 25 bale ex field at least

Got to be worth £20/25 if it’s good stuff

Going off the NAAC's prices, the costs are about £19 a bale plus rent, oh and fert.... In theory they should be £30 a bale, but realistically they're not going to be worth that to the person buying them when there are so many about.

I think they'll be £15 off the field and £25 later in the season. Complete loss maker, hence Ive turned our stock on a third of the ground we had ready to make silage and I'll keep my money in the bank.

I paid £20 or over for wrapped silage out of the heap last winter all the folks selling it were talking the price up

Stags sold a whole heap yesterday £11 bale I think it made!

There will be more expensive and cheaper I shouldn't wonder but no doubt that there will be some perfectly good silage available for that sort of money
