What do people expect yield wise for GS4 covers. This a new ley put in last autumn. Its shot up lst couple weeks but can’t cut till second week in June. ( can just see deers ears in picture for scale in this one field)

Just wondered what people see in terms of round bales per acre. Will be baled with a fusion so will be heavy bales.

I had 12 big 400-450 kg bales from a 2 acre field last week. Schemes are a bit different over here but I get the GS4 thing I think.
PP, has had a reseed last year (reseeded with some fert but not very much), some deep bedding muck in march and has been harrowed a month after spreading the muck. Sheep have been taken of in january.
Was pretty happy with that, last year the same field only gave me 5 bales.

Just had 10.2 bales acre , bales over 700kg , one days wilt rounds, not in scheme though

Will it not be very wet if it only has one day to wilt? I wilted a similar mix last year for 48hrs and it was still plenty wet enough. I’ve just cut the Westerwolds/red clover on the same field and wasn’t planning on baling it until Tuesday.
