We used a Vicon Acrobat to row it up when the ground is dry, leave it a day, then round bale it. You could nearly see milk running out of the bales, if you feed it to dairy cows.

The cattle will knock you over to get to it.

The only thing is that you have to travel a long way with a round baler to get a bale and it will be very dense and heavy by the time you have got a bale. Make sure the tyres on the baler, loader and trailers are well up to pressure!

Twin rotor rake and go like hell with the baler?

Does anyone recommend wrapping it or is it best to get it crispy dry and just bale it?
We never wrapped it. It needs to be dry. I’d be worried that it isn’t dry enough if you need to wrap it.
Think all the acrobats round here have been turned into the finest chinesium so it’s twin rake or nothing.
You can find them in farm sales occasionally.

We have done it a few times and its a fantastic feed but it needs to be crispy dry . We rowed it up with a twin rota rake then baled it in 120x90 bales . Its supprising how much soil there is left behind when the cows have eaten it
I would think if you bale it wet and wrap it there would be to much soil for it to ferment and be safe to feed
