1940 ish Fordson Model "N". Still the only tractor on the farm in 1960.
Or a couple of horses (in the summer)That is another valid point - as I could tow this one with the Defender when it rains

How backwards
Not really. it did all we wanted it to do. Grandfather, on the other half of the farm, had a 35. the hyds moved twice a year, up in may, so that the trailer mower could be hooked on, and down in Sept, when the five hole bar came back into use. The hyds had rusted up on the preceding T20!

thats about the same time as dad got ours,he didnt moan about the old landrives tho as he wasnt the one that had to sort them out
We did, untill he died! We had no pto implements, and no need for them baler etc had its own engine, so you could go baling with anything that could pull it. Did a small field with it behind the cattle lorry, when tractor was rowing up!
