Just out if curiosity....

Do posters (other than obvious spammers) ever get suspended or banned indefinitely from TFF. And if they do, would it be possible to put a “Banned” banner under their avatar so we’d know that that particular login was toast?

Can’t you put a stamp through their avatar like this:

And, out of idle curiously on a Sunday afternoon (post fetching cows for the milkers), I notice that there are a LOT of registered members who have never posted.
Do you time limit them?

No - but you don't get the ability to DM people until you have posted. There are a few other stages built in as well. Being a registered member allows you to use bookmarks and the login remembers where you have read to. So it's useful to be a member even if you don't post straightaway.
