Shred them, I have also banked with Barclays since forever and extreme caution is advised .

same here...barclays (or any other bank?) are no longer 'banks' as we knew them....they're just big money holding computers that you may/may not have luck with dealing with on a day to day basis

i thought going into fakenham branch was bad enough pre covoid.....now it's farcical:rolleyes:...i don't even know if i've a manager anywhere anymore:scratchhead:

I log into Barclays on the laptop and it'll often ask me to confirm my details... Email Phone Number etc... Tick the box and it'll pop up in a few months time.

They still can't get my Towns spelling correct even though I've changed it...

taken months and hours of our time to verify business partners details with HSBC the farm has banked with Midland/HSBC for 70+ years and business partners been the same for the last 30 years. Couldnt organise a pee up in a brewery
I had the same, I gave up after a while but they locked the account so had to sort it.
Bit my tongue from telling them they were the ones fined for money laundering in US

Having banked with them for more than I remember they needs forms filling in to confirm I am who I say I am and business details .Think it all to do with covid
We’ve had those forms, I ignored them for a while, they sent again and eventually phoned, I then phoned our own contact at the bank who said it was above board and the person who phoned me was who they said they were, but told me I did the right thing to check as there are a lot of scams going on.
Just give them a call.

We had this last year, and like you I ignored them too. Then got an email from our Manager...

"You should have had an email and/or letter from NatWest requesting you update ‘Your Business Profile’.

This is something that the Financial Regulators are driving and Banks are required to ensure we hold accurate and up to date information on all of our Business Customers"

The form was tedious, and not aimed at agriculture, but our Manager emailed me a template, which helped, and after a few goes I limped through it 🙄
Jobs for the boys.....

Dont do it.Go to the AMC instead.Even if it is slightly more expensive. The AMC will leave you alone.Barclays wont. They will still want your annual accounts on time, and possibly continued forecasts.
AMC agent I was reffered to was utterly useless and like getting blood from a stone to get a quote.

Valuation of security is booked for Wednesday.

I will ask what I am expected to produce annually and get it in writing
