Barley had been up 2 weeks , when i sprayed it with crystal and defy post em, was meant go on pre em but I missed it.
Agronomist said it would be fine , 6 weeks ago it looked sick but he said it would recover. Now snow has lifted this afternoon it looks like its been roundup. Other barley that was pre em is fine. anyone else had this problem and will it recover ? I ll get pictures tomorrow

Write off then
Nooooooooo!!!! Not yet. Defy is approved post-em in barley up to 3l/ha rather than 5l/ha pre-em. What rates of all pesticides did you use?? A full rate of Crystal + any Defy in mix post-em will be hot on the crop. Lots of herbicide uptake in cereal crops this year. - not just where Defy used. Difficult to say it is a right off without pictures. Is the new growth still green?? Fields can look very yellow with larger older leaves yellow, but small younger leaves still green. I'm not trying to say it will definitely be OK - just giving you some hope!

2 litres of each is not high rates. Take a closer look and post some pictures. If it does survive the winter, do everything you can to give it an early boost to encourage tillering - vital for yield in winter barley.

We have some barley that’s been hit hard we a strong pre em. And Avadex. Headlands which are tighter hardest hit.
Put manganese on and has really perked it up.
This is the same for me, but I’ve done nothing about it, past experience and agronomist agrees it will be fine
