Barley wholecrop

Thinking of buying a used drill to sow barley and sow grass and clover mixs as I reseed as I make wholecrop silage and currently use fert spinner to do the job with a light rake to cover seed. Wondering if a drill would be better any info greatly appreciated.

I bought a Howard nordsten drill for the same thing. Drill the barley/peas and then latch the coulters up so they're above the ground and do the grass seed. Either do the grass at half rate in two directions or light chain harrow across the drills to spread the grass seed more evenly. Shut the drill down to it's lowest setting and it'll put swedes down at 1kg/acre aswell. Best £350 ever spent
