Can’t ever seem to find ones where I’m based or they are days where I’ve got more important things to be doing! Never pick a day when it’s raining & can’t do anything else! ?

Lot of Suspension letters gone out this year.
Should be some sort of derogation as how the hell do you get points , even on a good year, bad enough!
Yes ,courses , online cpd ,firms to buy , Webinairs , agronomist visits( if you employer or big way to use???) Etc etc but this it very difficult to achieve!
City and Guilds NOT helpful.

Yep, guessing my suspension letter is in the post despite them having evidence of more than enough points posted to them six weeks ago. Emailed to ask why points weren’t added and basically it’s my problem. Total incompetence.

If an employee who is the main spray operator. Fails to get enough points and is suspended. Is it the employers responsibility to “get” points for the employee or is it the employees responsibility to make sure he is up to date.
assuming employer lets the employee time off to visit trials and CPD meetings when requested

and could this be a grounds for dismissal ?

Not a problem here as all 3 of us have the right amount but it could be a minefield if an employee suddenly can’t get enough points

Totally agree, think everyone is enjoying being at home, while things for us haven’t changed! Thankfully my daughter knows technology so she’s been emailing bits & pieces over so hopefully I’ve got some points but who knows 🤷‍♂️

I'd say that this is looking at the situation the wrong way - the employer has a duty to ensure operators have the right qualifications to do the job, including NRoSO. An employee not allowed to do this in work time who then faces disciplinary procedures would have a strong case for consecutive dismissal.

If the employee is sent on the right courses and does not sign in to get the paperwork then that's a bit different.
