I provisionally booked to do this course two years ago but COVID put pay to it.

I now have the chance to do it this winter and would like to know is it worth the cost and effort and what's it like to do. Is

If it is the same Dr Jim that trained me I would pay just to listen to him. He has a lot of experience of other realms of agronomy that I didn't appreciate much until he spoke about them.

Jim Lewis is a great teacher. Worth doing for him alone. Soil pit interesting and always something to learn.

If it is the same guy, he explained that he had a lot of interest and involvement in things outside the agronomic mainstream and he once spoke at length about all kinds of interesting stuff, including some lesser-known applications of various herbicides in some unusual crops which turned out to be handy to know in more than a few exotic situations where I was scratching my head for an answer.

It’s an excellent course and Dr Jim is a very good trainer. Soil & Water is one of the more relevant advanced modules in BASIS for farmers. I think you will enjoy it @robbie

I had the Privilege of having Dr jim tutor me for FACTS just before covid struck and as has been said already he's good at what he does and has such a broad in-depth knowledge of all things agronomical.
