Are Bateman and John deere standing these problems ? Make u wonder about these new Bateman’s the old ones a pretty much bomb proof

That’s a good question. Bateman are very helpful as always but they do hand off any engine related warranty issue to John Deere as they don’t have the diagnostics equipment. It is then a matter of how good a relationship you have with a John Deere dealer to sort it out. John Deere have been very good with the engine faults we have had and sorted them under warranty. The JD dealer does get the short end of the stick as it isn’t a machine they have sold yet they get all the engine related warranty issues with only a prescribed time allowance to do each item that rarely covers the fault finding time. The main problem is the amount of crap on these engines now that make them so fickle.

From the small Bateman screen which can vary slightly to a JD laptop. Error codes are 1569.31, which says unknown error (which I think is derate) and 94.18 which says fuel pressure.
94.18 - Low pressure fuel signal, moderately low. Fuel pressure is below .25 bar (3.6psi).
1569.31 - Engine power derate. (Due to the low pressure issue obviously).
Is the tank clean?? Any suction strainer clean?? Blockage in the fuel lines??.
After that, which pump are they using?? Does it have enough flow, are the restrictors and pipework correct to maintain the correct pressure??

As Terrier says above , I do feel a bit sorry for the JD dealer as it's not his machine they supplied but they have to deal with the problems .
My dealer , Mason Kings and service manager R Norman ( plus the service guys) have been great in helping me and it took 12 visits over 6 months ! Bateman have also helped with advice and I think have payed for some of the work . Other than about 6 sets of filters ( £ 600) I have paid nothing but obviously had all the hassle and downtime of these problems.
My own opinion is that JD run 2 micron fuel filters and although my fuel is up to standard , the filters just don t seem to have enough capacity or size so they block prematurely. Remember , I m running 5 other vehicles on same diesel/ tank and not having any issues ( JCB/NH/ Case)However , if JD was to change the filters , it would in effect admit that it's their problem which would open up a huge liability for them .
Look out on future new engines , much larger filters.
