Im calling on fellow TFFers to help stand against the village idiots and all the lies they are spreading about our planning application for a battery electric storage system .
If any of you have come across the Not In My Back Yard types and wand to push back again their rubbish, then please add your support to the planning application using the link below.
Thanks in advance.

Good luck
I’ll try and make positive comment. Every little thing done to make our grid resilient is a vital step forward in the current geopolitical environment. Should be PD as far as I’m concerned. They’ve got to halt the stranglehold nimbys have on the economy. Short of bringing back long term thinking from hereditary lords I don’t know how though!

Its a 5ac compound of shipping containers 3m high screened by hedges and tree planting. Just 150 m away from the edge of the farm yard and buildings thats twice the area and twice the height of the compound- So quite right, theres no different really.
I guess the nimbys wouldn't want the farmyard built either, if they had a choice- good job its always been there. In their mind the 'open countryside ' is not private farmland and does not require a farm nor tractors to produce the view that they are 'entitled' to.

You got some ,right one's there, commenting?
A few reasonable comments, a good deal unreasonable and a few completely unhinged.
According to one local resident (who must be an expert?) Its triple A grade productive organic land.
However-the family having farmed the area for several generations must therefore be incorrect in knowing its not organic, it is clay grade 3 and has the village sewage pipe and electric cable is under it.
But hey, why would we know as the farmers. God help us!

My friend had an application for a mini power station as you describe above, except it ran off the gas main.
The idea was to boost the mains during high demands for power to prevent power cuts.
He was approached by a company as his land is where the gas meets main power lines & also conveniently next to a main road.
The locals launched a campaign against it and have more recently objected to anything else he has tried to do not connected to this.
Meanwhile at the other end of the village the gypos have moved in & they expect his help !

@Bruce Almighty , it doesn't surprise anyone here that after complaining and objecting, the villages still expect help , and to wander all over the fields.
I think the relationship between locals and farming folk are on the boiling point and will explode into really bad feelings. As an industry we have had enough of complaining takers. Seems little is being given back and everything taken.

Been there, got the t shirt. Most of the locals have no idea of the strings farmers can pull and help in the peripheries they give sometimes. Never helps when loudest shouters have lived there the least amount of time.

Do you happen to know who the developer was?
