Battery grease gun

I'm thinking of getting one. Dewalt would be top of the list as I already have some Dewalt and Facom stuff so the extra battery would be handy. But are they any good, they aren't the cheapest so I don't want to spend and find out they are not much cop. The other option is a Milwalkee unless someone recommends something else.

I've got a milwaukee and been really pleased with it. Makes a boring but essential job just that bit more likely to happen IMO.

You'll not be disappointed with the dewalt, got one here and it's great  and it's by far the easiest grease gun I've used to change the cartridges, they just fall out once they're empty.

Ive a Milwaukee and its a good tool.
But if you have Dewalt batteries already go with that, the ability of being able to borrow the battery off the drill/grinder/impact when your greasing the baler some morning is immeasurable.

I’ve a Milwaukee as well and totally agree with Fermer boy. Sometimes the battery goes flat and you have to rob it from something else.

Milwaukee here too as have other things with the same batteries - the grease gun uses hardly anything.

Slightly annoying not to have some sort of pressure release for thos nipples that really won't take grease, one of those would improve things a lot.

On the other hand the 'headlamp' integral to my one is brilliant - I have never been able to find nipples in the dark before now.

I also have the 18v Milwaukee grease gun, have to say it’s amazing! As has been said an electric grease gun real does make a thankless job bearable.
I can’t comment on the Dewalt but I’m sure it will be 1000 times better than a manual gun. And you can never have to many batteries!

Has anyone used or had a sealey?
We had a sealey one it was ok but gave up at about two years old. We have 2 dewalts now the oldest is 5 years old and as good as the 9month old one only have 2 so one can stop on the combine/chopper. The dewalt will push grease into things the sealey would just stall at.

Nice best start saving my penny’s for April then

For the penny pinchers like me Makita also make a device that converts a cordless drill into a cordless grease gun:

I have one, I had a spare cordless driver that I never used, it now lives on the above attachment, has made greasing a LOT easier, and all for £60+vat..........

While on this thread are the g couplers worth buying? And are the harder to get in to tight spots for greasing? Want a battery grease gun but wondering if just changing the end would make it easier

100% worth it. Yes, you might have to keep a normal grease gun for the odd hard to get to spot, but you can get a G coupler into most places in my experience. One or two places I've had to enlarge holes and cut back bits of guards, but there's not many times I have to get the hand operated gun out.

I think if you get an electric greaser you don't go back to normal grease guns, that would be my experience there too. You do get through more grease though.
