How long often do you change battery's on vehicles. I've just changed the batteries on my Discovery 2s,one in November and the other last week. Both were original batteries from new, so about 19 yrs on both.
They still showing nearly 13v but low on amp's .
both started ok but do fire up quicker on new batteries.

at 19yrs id be quite happy if they battery was still working at all.
ive got machines here with 10+ yr old batteries on but hardly ever used.
Used most days. Never failed to start ever, but got slow to fire up, but now instant fire up. Which I'm told was low amp's from battery not low voltage.

My JD 6420 was bought new in 2004 with the larger 154Ah battery. It still starts every time but I keep wondering when it will let me down. Probably when I'm in a hurry. I think 16 years is excellent for a battery and the tractor is brilliant as well. Only problem with it was the radiator went and took the cylinder head gasket with it. (I wasn't driving it at the time!)
