There is certainly a lot we could -- and should -- be doing. I am in no way a greeny, but I am sometimes ashamed of the human race. I have three Mac computers. Each one works but fails in some respect because the software has moved on.

Moved on because it doesn't work any more? In some cases, the old software was better than the new software but it doesn't work because it's incompatible. And I would suggest it's incompatible because it's been made that way so we will have to buy new. Personally, I prefer obsolete (if it hasn't be designed not to work) because it's usually simpler, often fixable by the user, and still does a good job. In fact, there are a heap of reasons why it's better for some of us.
