We farmers do need a reality check at times, nobody forces us to farm and we could sell up for millions. We do not want to do that but millions have to work at jobs they hate everyday just to survive so be thankfull
Your not totally wrong but there are a dam site more Tenant farmers who own nowt & have nothing too sell up for really.
 
Yes but its still the point that they want to farm , alot of people never get to do what they want so why should we be any different.
Werzle this is about the bbc and absolutely and utterly dreadful reporting either due to ignorance or negligence of the reporter or the bbc and broadcasting it around the planet. What are you on about?

Not really, the more agricultural land you own yes the more BPS you will have received. Either directly or through it's effect on the rental value of land. But there are some extremely wealthy people who won't have received any BPS, as they don't own or occupy any land.
So the BBC statement is completely incorrect.
