BD144 CAV/In-line Injector Disassembly

G’day Y’all,

I need to replace the gasket on the back of my fuel injector unit as it leaked like a sieve. It’s the one between the injector block and the governor. I’ve got it very loose but something is holding it on at the top (just near where the fuel rod slips in and

out) and just cannot seem to see what. I don’t want to go to hard at it and break it.

Would anyone have really good expanded view diagram or advice?

I’m nearly sure that it’s trying to pull the rack control rod out with it, from what I remember you need to remove or disconnect or unhook something in behind where the diaphragm spring was. I have one in bits somewhere, I’ll look fir it tommorow

Found the pump today!! You need to remove the slotted lump the diaphragm hooks onto and then unscrew the bit on the R/H side in your photo that attaches to the rack
