Bean settings on a jd cts combine

As above really,haven’t cut beans for years and haven’t cut them with this combine so just wondering what others are running them at

Wide and slow . Seem to lose to many over the rotors compared to losses on a walker combine . I ended up taking several of the rotor concave sections out which reduced the losses considerably but was a pain in the arse to do .

Drum 600 650 ish 15 - 30 concave lots of wind wide as pos bottom sieve top so e to suit sample rotors flat high speed took 4 rota plates out the back through the inspection hole the easiest one to do I’m not sure if it helped or not. Just 3-4 kph seamd ok on losses. My concave has big gaps

Thanks for the replies,getting a good sample and minimal losses apart from the header so am quite happy at nearly finishing harvest

Found this it was for beans not peas as counldnt find the beans pre set. 3.8 kph

This is a good photo.
Remove the fingers at rear of concave.
Remove some fingers from rear of rotors. Rotors in slow speed.
Max Air. Undo door on bottom of returns elevator if weed seeds an issue.

Drum speed & cave gap to suit moisture.

Sure there was mention of a bean kit for the c670 that used to cut my place. Rotor plates to help hold material in them

No there rota cover plates to even up the material on the sieves for osr.

Do those not go below rotors in grates , we used to put those in for osr for what you say .

The bean kit kinda bolted onto the rotor barrel . Been a few years since I saw them but sort of half moon shaped curved plates , one for each rotor iirc

Why would you want to keep material in the rotors?? Like osr, it’s separated long before then and you’re limited by the feed and header, nothing else. Sieves wide open and fan at max speed. Returns elevator plate removed.

Beans setting for my C670 is easy, drum wide open, drum as slow as I dare, take top 2 rows of grates out of concave. A lot of wind, open sieves and go for it, only decision then is do I need a side knife, if so then go back and find header extention ,
