Situation Vacant Bee Farm Area Manager - Herefordshire

Sector: Sustainable Farming

The Opportunity:

Do you have a passion for sustainable farming practices and helping wildlife by enhancing the environment?

Are you looking to diversify and do something different from your everyday farm job?

Are you hands-on and enjoy being outdoors, travelling around local farms?

Unique and exciting opportunities like this do not come along very often!

As a result of continued growth and significant increased demand from major retailers, our client is now seeking a Bee Farm Area Manager to join their team. Previous Bee keeping experience is not an essential requirement, as full training and support will be provided.

You will manage and oversee the annual lifecycle of beehives spread across the territory. Hives are strategically placed on farms, where the bees benefit the farmers by pollinating many different crops such as clover, oilseed rape, beans, borage and fruit, thus increasing the yield and quality. The bees also fan out in all directions, pollinating wildflowers and trees, helping to sustain the environment.

The Employer: A highly successful supplier of quality honey to UK major retailers with a focus on quality, flavour, and tradition, as well as supplying honey and beeswax to industrial users specialising in the cosmetics industry.
