OH got this and was looking forward to slow cooking it in the slow cooker. In my mind it looks too good (not enough fat) to slow cook it. After a chat about beef she says it’s hard to get (what is perceived as) fatty/rubbish cuts anymore.

If it's brisket then it's a bony continental, proper brisket got marbling.

we don't get fat brisket like 40 years's ago, boiled and cut for cold sandwiches, making my mouth water now!

My wife puts brisket in the slow cooker....had to ask her what with.... cup of passatta, paprika, garlic, good dash of lea and perrins and same of balsmic vinegar....cook on low for 6-7 hours until it pulls apart with two forks like pulled pork

Probably very true, I tend to walk past the Beef part of the shelves in the supermarket after I've put the mince in the trolley.

Did have some good steak this week though, dairy farmer mate gave it to me, a heifer that failed to get in calf
