More new pickups getn ordered next week when the cheque clears, those guys can't complain about the price of sheep when they average 100 a head.

Not sure about the new pick ups, it was one of the most expensive springs ever and most only have 2/3rd of the lamb crop compared to a usual year plus an expensive winter ahead. Think a new stronger belt may be the purchase of choice

Of course, sooner would be better as I need to get rid of 60-70 fat cattle by lying in time (November please Mr weather man ) or there will not be enough room at the inn!

They could be......... On the other hand if the winter is mild,the fat lamb trade holds up,and we get some kind of deal with brexit that makes it still worthwhile for our lamb to go to France,then confidence will return and they could go through the roof.

I can't see in-lamb ewes being too strong whatever the trading conditions. Too many folk just don't want the work.

Nice smart lambs 55/60 and stronger not needing alot of keep 60/65, small blackie lambs 40/50. Feeding ewes around the 40 mark,

I can't see in-lamb ewes being too strong whatever the trading conditions. Too many folk just don't want the work.

Back in January down here very good texel x ewes expecting twins in February we’re £85. 200 of them from a very good farm hit that price, at the time I was gutted I hadn’t bought them, after the horrendous spring and summer I’m glad I didn’t buy them now!
