its hard to say unless you see the cattle, but maybe I would of started hard feed sooner, if their big enough then their ready for hard feed3 of them were 3’s including the overweight one

19p more for a U+, they only came out the field 2 weeks ago...will be having a clear out nowCan’t remember the wood heads grid ( and never look up there with my grade cattle) but would guess no more than 5-10p off for a U+\E 2 so would have been worth as much gone sooner. And the price was higher......isn’t hind sight great.
I’d of sold it live like normal and if the trade was like last year got £1700 for itits hard to say unless you see the cattle, but maybe I would of started hard feed sooner, if their big enough then their ready for hard feed

They are great cattle. Hard to believe many will have better paying cattle. Its impossible to get the weights bang on every time. Well done.I’d of sold it live like normal and if the trade was like last year got £1700 for it
Exactly look at the grossing values. The weight limits/spec are where they are for a reason. They know fine well that not every beast will finish and stop growing out before these limits. I could...but I won’t....seeing these type of cattle out grazing all summer is what farming is all about to meCould you feed them as you would bulls ie. From weaning push them hard and not bother turning out to graze!?
What weight live was they? What percentage kill out?I could...but I won’t....seeing these type of cattle out grazing all summer is what farming is all about to me
