dumbia dropping lambs under 15kg 10p to £3.65 (n) just as I was thinking of clearing the last of this years
2 weeks they told me it was £3.80 kg same as the bigger lambs, and they wanted them in the run up to Christmas!
Do you know what are they paying for over 15kgs next week, I'm surprised that merthyr have upped to £4, as local market seems to have been back a bit today

Exeter store trade was up in numbers today I would think, just over 2,000 lambs in.

A lot of finished lambs, some must have been over 45kg but I felt trade was back a touch on last week.

I picked up a couple pens of longer keep Suffolk and Char cross. May born and had 2 jabs of Heptavac already, 32 to 35kg, for £57.

Still £3.80 for bigs. Ye they had been saying that smalls would be needed in big numbers in the run up to Christmas.

Not the only company to quote £4 for next week either.

I dont think after the last 2 Monday sales at Exeter that most sellers have much faith in bringing them into the Monday market anymore!

I had a look into Hexham store cattle sale today. The biggest heaviest best fed cattle aren’t too far a miss. The leaner weathered poorer fed types look well back. The bargain ones in my opinion were around £700 for well fed good sorts that are definitely-£2 per kilo. There’s money to be made there

There were a fair few spring born ones passed out in the £600s towards the end of the sale.
