Easter is at the end of April and Ramadan is in early may. Lambs won't crash till after that I wouldn't have thought.

So we have a Deal?
In which case lambs will remain a good trade for some time to come.

No deal means the door shuts on exports which will collapse the price, the price in April is completely driven by exports, not the home market which will be happy with cheap Chicken!

Yes,i suppose so.Its probably why they are so dear,as most buyers will be working to the same theory.A numbers game now.I bought a few in september/october and wished i had bought more. Some of them bought out the breeding sales as Tex ewe lambs for £55.Very nice quality as well, and a shame they will probably end up in the fat.
Tup them, sell them with lambs at foot, lift £100 a unit off them, or if trade jumps like last year you might lift £100 off them in the fat in April, or sell them now and lift £35 off them.:scratchhead:
I’ll tell you next May what the correct decision was :finger:

You will know more than I will so I won't argue with you about it. But surely the 5million odd Muslim people will want lamb for their Ramadan feast? Not having a go or anything just curious what you think :)

Our thoughts are this; yes brexit no deal might mess it up short term but... the ppl of Europe will want to eat the same as they have before, I.e if they eat lamb now in April they ain’t going stop!! Therefore market demand will drive thru a reasonable trade deal, and Hoggs will be ok, worst case scenario is that the Europeans are stock piling it now and come April won’t be desperate to trade, that said if enough is taken out the system home supply will even out the job put hopefully meaning stability at least in prices , as father says you can only kill them once. We are buying stores but are not going silly on them. As previous comments say “gotta be in it to win it”

How can you not be going silly on them, when they all seem to be silly money now?
