Just checked on the AHDB website to see how today’s trade was after loading 235 finished lambs on a lorry to market for tomorrow.

Great to see the national SQQ average has dropped 10p since last week....

Not great. Had hoped for a fiver a head more. They were good tight char X and Texal X.

That’s the annoying thing. My lambs today were far better that those I took Friday.

Head for head they were about the same taking into account killing levies.

No sense to it really. People who are buying these store lambs must be beginning to worry a little. Trades going wrong way.

Exeter SQQ was about 1.81 today.

Sedge was about 1.78 SQQ

Both showing red.

Sedge red for prime cattle as well.

ABP Sturminster paying £.3.36 for clean and £2.50 Barreners this week Buyer said something about getting rid of offal due to un certainty over Brexit . European buyers of Offal not buying so it is being frozen That is affecting the cow price . Clean cattle, Cheap Irish beef again i think.
