Looked to be a decent trade on cattle in Hereford today . Didn't stay long but there seemed to be a bit of spirit in there.fattening bulls I thought were good money

I dont know what Longtown store was like on Tuesday.Do you know what the fat was like today? Acklington down to 159p,and Darlington said it was easier but no average up on their mart page.
Sorry I wasn’t there. Haven’t heard anything either. Sometimes when things are heading downwards Longtown fat takes a clatter up

I heard all good in spec cattle made fairly decent money but as usual anything out of spec made low money. Same old story, quality commands the premium.

Well I called into Welshpool at 7 am, had breakfast and a look around the mart, very impressive and such a beautiful part of the world....then I couldn’t resist a trip to bishops castle to watch the store cattle as it will probably the only time I’m ever there again
I thought trade was very good considering the finished price ....two of the most bizarre things I’ve ever seen were A-the fact the cattle were weighed before entering the ring and B- a pen of 750 kilo store charalois bullocks :scratchhead:
What a quaint mart it is...it must have the smallest cafe I’ve ever seen and the most basic ring I’ve ever seen
Full credit must go to @sherg s in-laws for a tremendous run of store cattle...exceptional bred cattle

Shame I didn't as wasnt sure though as you said you needed to get home, looked at my phone half way through to see if you had commentedI thought the Woods cattle were excellent as well but could only manage to be under bidder on some of the red heifers(except the 2 that made 1400)

Unusual for cattle not to be weighed nowadays i would of thought. What did those monster bullocks make?

I did need to get home but wanted to watch the woods cattle...we left straight after them
Managed to get home and fed round late on
A young lad next to me bought the 2 at £1400 I’m guessing for cows,
