Spoke to my buyer (for fat cattle) this afternoon no problems with slaughtering & there's good demand other than high end stuff the problem is distribution, just struggling to get it on the shelf. Unfortunately expecting a drop next week but should then return to normal (ish).

Email from kivells re Exeter market.

“During these extraordinary times we have made the following changes to our sheep sales at Exeter Livestock Centre.

Friday- NO STORE/BREEDING SHEEP, WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.

Monday- Continuing under restricted measures- No vendors allowed out of their vehicles, we will unload you and collect paperwork. ALL STOCK MUST BE PRE-ENTERED with Russell on 07788318701 by 7pm on the Sunday evening prior to Monday.

We hope these stringent measures may become more relaxed over the coming weeks and will try and keep clients posted by text, email and via our Website and Facebook page.
In the meantime please feel free to contact Russell who is intending to devolop a private treaty register for Couples and any large groups store hoggs available.”

What I was saying yesterday, you can tell by milk and meat sections in shops being cleaned out everyday, demand is there.
